26 September 2023, Venice; The Meeting was a collaboration beetween the magazine "Lei" and the "Shocking pink endorphins festival", which honour the most important women whose reached greatest goals in their sports, today in particular they talked about an explorer.

 

Hanno partecipato la regista Leigh Anne Sides e l’esploratrice Myrle Simpson la quale con naturalezza e grinta raccontava delle sue avventure, parlando di amore e di passione: “bisogna buttarsi nelle cose, fare il primo passo anche se non si è professionisti ma crederci sempre e che la cosa più imprentante sono l’amore, la famiglia e la voglia di scoprire il mondo”, film presentato in 497 citta in tutto il mondo.

Il documentario girato dalla regista Leigh Anne Sides il quale racconta attraverso un intervista e della fotografie l'attraversata della Groenlandia ed una spedizione alla scoperta del Polo Nord.

 

Participating were the director Leigh Anne Sides and the explorer Myrle Simpson who spoke about her adventures with naturalness and determination, speaking of love and passion "you have to throw yourself into things, take the first step even if you are not a professional but always believe in it and, the most important thing is love, family and the desire to discover the world", the documentary was screened in 497 cities around the world.

The documentary filmed by director Leigh Anne Sides talk about the Myrle's crossing of Greenland and of her North Pole expedition through an interview and many photos shooted during his and his husband expeditions.

Un racconto intrinseco di emozioni come quando Myrle Simpson sta attraversando la Groenlandia assieme a suo marito ed a un altro esploratore, ma il ghiaccio sotto di loro diventa acqua e sono costretti ad aspettare, tra la vita e la morte; Un film pieno di ENDORFINE grazie ad una donna che provoca capace di coinvolgere gli spettatori con naturalezza e semplicità, cucinando una marmellata di mirtilli.

Alla domanda cosa è la vera felicità risponde che è semplicemente raggruppare marito e figli, una semplice tenda, della pioggia ed un buon libro.

An intrinsic story of emotions, when Myrle Simpson is try to reach the Geografic North Pole with her husband and another explorer, but, the ice beneath them turns to water and they are forced to wait, between life and death; A film full of ENDORPHINS thanks to a provocative woman capable of involving viewers with naturalness and simplicity, cooking a blueberry jam.

When asked what true happiness is, she replies that it is simply having a husband and children together, a simple tent, some rain and a good book;

Myrle Simpson inoltre racconta che le donne non hanno delle difficoltà in quanto donne ad  intraprendere queste spedizioni estreme ma che "l'unica difficolta" è l'attrezzatura e la preparazione che non corrisponde al genere maschile o femminile, d'altronde lei in quanto donna è la rappresentazione esatta di tale affermazione; decima donna a ricevere la medaglia polare dal principe William d'Inghilterra, per le sue scoperte, le quali grazie al suo raccoglimento di pezzi nelle sue scoperte ed attraversate si possono vedere nei musei di storia naturale in Scozia.

In questo documentario si vedono dei paesaggi freddi ma caldi al tempo stesso, una documentario che capace di coinvolgere gli spettatori anche se non conoscono questa disciplina, grazie ai racconti di  Myrle Simpson e alle foto le quali ti immergono del Polo Nord.

 

Myrle Simpson also says that women have no difficulty as a women in undertaking these extreme expeditions but that "the only difficulty" is the equipment and there are no difference beetwen male or female, she as a woman is the exact representation of this statement; tenth woman in history to receive the Polar medal from Prince William of England, for her discoveries, which, thanks to her collection of pieces taken in her discoveries and traversed can be seen in Natural History Museums of Scotland.

In this documentary we see landscapes that are cold but warm at the same time, a documentary that is capable of involving viewers even if they are not familiar with this discipline, thanks to Myrle Simpson's stories and photos you can feel like you are in the North Pole.
